This is a follow-up post to Digital Art Copyism, which I recommend reading to get a background as to why the Media Lab at the Metropolitan Museum has been working on this piece.

My internship project at the Met MediaLab was focused on developing a glassware (Google Glass app) for crowd-sourcing verbal descriptions. The concept was initially developed by two previous MediaLab interns, DD and Fang-Yu under a project called "Koura."

Late last year the Met ran a show called Regarding Warhol, which had a ton of interesting contemporary pieces. Ai Wei-Wei had a Coca-Cola Vase, Andy Warhol had his Silver Clouds. But the piece that I was happily surprised to see was near the end, Cory Arcangel's Super Mario Clouds. For this piece, Cory modified an original Super Mario Bros videogame to remove everything but the background and the clouds. The Whitney actually has a fun and in-depth description (and activities!) on their Whitney Kids page.
